1. Which processors are supported by this motherboard?
Please note that this X99-XD3 motherboard only supports DDR3 memory and does not support DDR4 memory. This motherboard only supports some processors in the E5 V3/V4 series, which are E5 2629V3, 2666v3, 2669V3, 2673v3, 2676v3, 2678v3, 2686V4, 2696V3, 2696v4, and 2698BV3. Other processors in the E5 V3/V4 series cannot be used on this motherboard.
2、What type of memory module is supported by the motherboard?
This motherboard only supports DDR3 memory and does not support DDR4 memory. For choosing which type of memory to use, we recommend you to prioritize using DDR3 REG ECC server memory, as this type of memory is more stable and has better compatibility.
Normal DDR3 desktop memory may pose compatibility risks. We have tested some standard desktop memories and found that not all desktop memories are compatible with this motherboard. If you must use standard desktop memory, we suggest you choose well-known brands as much as possible, but you may still face compatibility risks. If you do not have enough patience to test and find compatible memory, we do not recommend using standard desktop memory. If you encounter memory compatibility issues, you need to try using DDR3 REG ECC server memory first.
Issues Regarding TPM2.0 module and Windows 11 Installation:
This X99 motherboard supports Secure Boot and features a JTPM header. By connecting an external TPM 2.0 module to this JTPM header, you can meet the requirements for installing Windows 11. This motherboard does not include a TPM 2.0 module by default; you need to purchase it separately. The TPM 2.0 module compatible with this motherboard is the MSI-LPC-14P-2.0, and it must be in a vertical form factor .You can contact our customer service to purchase compatible modules.

1. The chipset of this X99 motherboard is C612, paired with Xeon E5 V3/V4 series CPUs featuring multi-core and multi-threading capabilities. Xeon E5 V3/V4 processors have relatively low core frequencies and weaker single-core performance as their main bottlenecks in gaming, making them unsuitable for high-frame-rate competitive games that demand high processor clock frequency . However, for games that are less sensitive to processor frequency, when paired with excellent graphics cards like the GTX1060 6GB, GTX1070, or GTX1660S, you can still enjoy a smooth gaming experience with reasonable settings (without blindly pursuing ultra-high frame rates).
Pre-Purchase Considerations :
1. Please note: The motherboard in this kit is brand new, but the CPU and memory modules are not. The memory modules are original server modules without any modifications. Both the CPU and memory have undergone rigorous testing to ensure proper functionality. If this concerns you, please refrain from purchasing.
2. This motherboard supports normal desktop memory or ECC server memory, but you cannot mix these two different types. Please note that the memory included in this motherboard kit is ECC server memory. If you need to add more memory, you must choose the same type.
3. The battery in the motherboard picture is not included and will be removed before shipment because this battery is prohibited according to logistics requirements.
